“Healing Portals” is REYNALDO's new collection of paintings where he combines crystals, salts, oil paintings, chalks, resine and NFT animation.
His “combine painting” or “Combine” incorporates elements of both painting and three-dimensional.

“Healing portals” was created with elements of healing properties and the spiritual intention behind the craft.
I was among the first group of people that contracted covid 19 during the Pandemic. While the world was trying to figure out what was happening during the lockout I started feeling the strange symptoms of losing my senses of smell and taste. I knew that I had something that I have never experienced nor heard about it before. I couldn't go to any hospital or even see people outside my own apartment when the disease got more intense. When one of my nostrils clogged the real battle began. A battle of negative thoughts portraying the worst, it was an inner battle of fears and fatalistic visions. At that moment the only practice that helped polarize the negative thoughts to a positive mindset was my spirituality.
After that experience, I grabbed a brush after a decade, and the first piece that came to life was the mother of all the Healing Portals. The painting required months to dry the many layers of Resin. Resin symbolizes the healing after a wound. Plants secrete resins for their protective benefits in response to injury. The best-conserved Fossils found on earth are protected by Hard Natural Resins.
The crystals in the piece remind us that gemstones seem to have particular properties. The combination of atoms or molecules into crystals or other extended forms leads to the creation of additional energetic states. There is indeed an invisible and additional energy field generated by the lattice grid of crystals. Like the energy of heat, electricity, radio waves, and rainbows that we can physically experience.
I consciously used salt as a main element throughout the painting. Besides its anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial medicinal properties, it sanitizes and opens roads. Salt is used for various spiritual reasons, with several testimonies of breakthrough restoration, spiritual protection, and fortification. This is why it is often used in important events and rituals that involve declarations and prayers.
